Types Of Women’s Perfume

Types Of Women’s Perfume Groups
The basic breakdown of women’s perfumes is in the type of scent that is the basic ingredient. There are different smells that a perfume is created from and that will be an asset or detriment to the wearer. Perfumes can be defined as floral, oriental, woody, fresh, and fougere. These labels of perfume types are determined by the type of scent that they create and the ingredients they are created from. A basic floral will be the scent of a flower, a fresh scent will be a citrus or natural smell and a woody will be created by using the barks and oils of different woods. By understanding these simple breakdowns in the fragrances a person can choose the type of women’s perfume they want and that will blend with their body type to create a tantalizing aroma.

Types Of Women’s Perfume Strengths
The most basic type of women’s perfume strength is a true perfume. A person who wears true perfume will have an expensive small bottle of the strongest concentration of the scent. Perfume is concentration of aromatic oils that will be at least twenty percent. By using the true perfume a person will have the full essence of the fragrance offering an unmistakable aroma. For the average person on the average day a less expensive, lower concentration of a perfume will be completely appropriate. The eau de perfume, eau de toilette, and eau de cologne will all be reduced concentrations in order of listing. These concentrations can be bought in larger quantities for less money making them affordable types of women’s perfume strengths.

Learning Types Of Women’s Perfume
For the person who wants to learn more about women’s perfume taking the time to study these various groups and strengths will be very useful. By looking at the more popular brand names and perfume and defining the group of scents they fall into a person can quickly determine what the fragrance will be like. Some scents are obvious as to their group. For example, Lily of the Valley is a floral. Other classic scents are well known in the perfume industry but a newcomer will need to investigate their category.

Eye Brighteners

Laura Mercier Eye BrightenerSo many women apply makeup for no other reason other than to avoid looking tired. Just the smallest amount of eye brightener under your usual concealer can make the biggest difference in your overall look and diminish tired eyes.

What makes the brighteners unique is the color and added luminosity. Since it's specifically for the eye area, they have a pinky or peachy hue which assists in disguising the blue tone of dark circles. Luminosity is another added benefit, like in the case of the pens highlighted above, to give a look of brightness and to neutralize dark circles so your concealer won't have to work so hard. Use the smallest amount on hydrated eyes under concealer.

Concealers That Work

Covering under eye circles or flaws on the face can be tricky. Most of us have a bag full of concealer’s from creams to sticks and liquids and none of which cover much of anything. If you are using a concealer you want to see some coverage right? Of course you do. Prescriptive’s Site Unseen Concealer has been holding up very well. It is oh so creamy and hides pretty much everything you want it too.

Make sure to use a soft tapping motion with your ring finger when applying underneath your eyes. This will ensure that the color stays put and blends beautifully. Click here to purchase and check out the entire Prescriptives line.

Skin Rejuvenating Peach Facial: Natural Fridays

It's peach season everywhere and peaches are in abundance! I love my ripe and juicy sweet peaches. Not only they taste good, do you know that they are actually fantastic for your skin? I've been a big fan of using beauty fruits for beautiful skin for a long time and trust me, they really work and minus any harsh chemicals. Naturally, I just had to share with you guys about the beauty wonders of the peach.

So, what's so spectacular about peaches?

Do you crave for youthfully dewy skin? Ladies and gents, you have your answer in peaches. Peaches are rich sources of alpha-hydroxy acids. These acids help to slough off dead skin cells, thus revealing healthy, new skin. Talk about rejuvenated skin. Besides that, peaches are bursting with Vitamins A and Vitamins C to nourish your skin to perfection. In Skinfast: When it's better to eat your skincare, you can learn all about the great benefits of Vitamins A and C for your skin.

Peach juice is astringent in nature and it helps to unclog pores and banish blemishes. Great news for those who want to get rid of acne. Besides, it's also very emollient in nature and helps to replenish moisture in your skin. When used regularly, in time, it is said to lighten age spots and to plump up skin, reducing the look of fine lines. The astringent nature of the peach juice helps in a sag-busting action, keeping skin firm and fresh.

How to make a skin rejuvenating peach facial?
This facial mask could not be any simpler. What I do is, I cut out a small slice of peach, with the skin intact and will use it for my face mask. The rest of the peach, I eat it whole, of course! It's simply delish. Now, rub the slice of peach all over your clean face. Let the juice sit on for 20 mins. By 20 mins, most of the juice has already dried out on your face. Wash off with warm water and pat dry. Then seal off moisture with a light moisturizer. Voila, it's as simple as that to have beautiful skin.

The verdict?
My skin is unbelievably soft and smooth to the touch. But I'm super blown away by how clear my skin looks. It's glowing and radiant like never before. I can really feel it's astringent nature working on my skin. My skin doesnt shine even in the summer heat and that's a big bonus for me! Despite it being astringent, it's richly emollient as my skin is smooth and supple like I've had a great moisturizing facial treatment. Perfect for those with dry skin too.

Ladies, this is a real winner! With just a slice of peach, I'm enjoying fantastic results like I've been having my facials. I've been doing this peach facial mask 3 times and week and loving the results. You should try this out too, it's really worth it and terribly simple to do. Let me know whether your skin is loving it too!

The Way You Wax It!
Waxing the right way is essential for women. Here is a look at the benefits of hot wax and why cold wax is not as effective as it should be.

Read on to know which is the best one for you…

Wonder Wax

Waxing the right way determines the smoothness and beauty of your hands and legs.

In a hot wax, when your hair is pulled, it does not disturb the root of the hair and hair comes out easily.

Cosmetologist and aesthetician Dr. Nishita Sheth says, "Hot waxes remove hair from the root and dead skin cells as well. This leaves your skin soft and smooth."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elderly people with loose skin should not wax because they tend to wound.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember to always check the temperature of the wax before applying it. There is no ideal temperature. Just apply a little hot wax on a small area of your skin and if you can bear it then apply it.

Cold wax tends to stick to the skin. In fact, hair does not come out easily at all.

Since the beautician will apply the wax more than once on a particular area, this could cause your skin to become raw and it may even wound.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you skin is sunburnt, sore, hurt or has an open wound then waxing the area will only aggravate your skin problem.

Hand and Nail Care

Hands are always on show, so the ideal is to have a smooth skin and nicely manicured nails. Our hands are constantly exposed to the elements, to harsh detergents and soap. This exposure causes the skin on the backs of our hands to age quickly; pigmentation marks may appear.

Most of us do not give our feet the attention they deserve Foot Care means keeping your toe nails trimmed, removing rough skins and massaging feet & ankles regularly. Foot Care section shall enlighten you all about how to keep your feet at the best.

Eyelash Extensions

What is Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash Extensions are semi-permanent meaning that they can last up to 2 or 3 months (depending on your eyelash growth cycle and how well you look after them.) They are lightweight synthetic lashes that are individually attached to each of your own lashes with a specially formulated bonding liquid to give you natural looking, long, thick and curved lashes Eyelash extensions are perfectly safe, as they are NOT attached to the skin only to the eyelash. The procedure takes about 1.5 - 2 hours depending on how many lashes need to be applied.

The Procedure - Whats involved in getting Eyelash Extensions

We start by taping down your bottom eyelashes. Then while keeping your eyes closed each synthetic lash is dipped into the glue and attached to each of your own eyelash until you have a full set of longer and thicker eyelashes.

PLEASE NOTE: that during the procedure your eyes are closed all the time so even if you have sensitive eyes this technique will cause you no discomfort (taping down the bottom eyelashes, is unusual and feels odd and it is normal for some peoples eyes to water a bit at this point. However IT IS NOT PAINFUL!) The taping down goes quickly so before you know it your eyes will be shut and you, half asleep.)

Yes! I said half asleep! The procedure is completely comfortable and pain free! and often my clients nod off from time to time during the procedure waking up to gorgeous, love-inspiring eyelashes!!!

Caring for your Eyelash Extensions
1.
Do not expose the Eyelash Extensions to water for +/-10 hours after application to allow the Bonding Agent to cure properly.

2. Do not allow moisturises, eye creams or oily/creamy eye make up removers to come in contact with the Eyelash Extensions. Any products containing oils will break down the bond of the Bonding Agent resulting in earlier touch-ups (fills).

3. If you feel that you still want to wear mascara, use only water-soluble mascara on your Eyelash Extensions Waterproof mascara will break the bond of the Bonding Agent and will shorten the lifespan of the extensions.

4. Curling of Eyelash Extensions is not recommended. They are already curved.

5. Heated eyelash curling will damage the extensions.

6. To avoid eyelashes clumping, you will need to sleep on your back for the first night while the bonding agent is still curing.

Laser Hair Removal Treatment

Laser Hair Removal:
This procedure is for the patient who wishes a quicker less painful way of removing unwanted body hair. This procedure does not result in permanent hair removal in all patients but it does reduce the amonount of residual hair following each treatment. Treatments can be with a laser or with an intense pulsed light.
Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light that are absorbed by dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin's surface and converted to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth for up to two years. Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal -- the follicle must be "active" at the time of treatment, and not all follicles are active at the same time. Treatments are needle-free and do not require anesthesia. Most patients feel nothing more than a slight sting like the snap of a rubber band.

The Epilaser is designed to treat unwanted hair of the face and the body. This is the most effective treatment for this procedure.

Laser Skin Resurfacing:

Laser treatment is the quickest and least painful way of removing unwanted hair. This is the most effective treatment for this procedure. It is 100% effective for six months in all patients who are treated. Additional hair is removed with each treatment. More than one treatment is necessary in about 80 % of cases. In dark hair individuals, the Epilaser is 60% effective in permanent hair removal. Blonde, grey, and white haired individuals will have no benefit.

The following is a brief list of the lasers available and what each can do to treat your skin.
  • Sciton Erbium: skin aging and freshens previous facelifts. Healing is quicker.
  • CO2 UltraPulse used to resurface the skin.
  • VersaPulse removes vascular and pigmented lesions, as well as, tattoos and veins.
  • Q-switched Nd:YAG removes vascular and pigmented lesions, as well as, tattoos and veins.
  • Con-Bio Q-switched Nd:YAG removes pigmented lesions and tattoos.
  • Alexandrite removes vascular lesions, veins, tattoos, and brown spots.
  • Epilaser removes unwanted hair.
  • Starlux®/Fraxel® lasers are used for fine lines and wrinkles, brown spots and skin tightening.

Beauty Mistakes

Beauty Mistakes We've All Made

I have read very nice article about the mistakes we've made, so please read it very carefully.

A few makeup mistakes I've seen friends, my mom, myself and a few people on the subway make:

1. We apply eyeshadow with our fingertips. Don't use your fingers and don't use the cheapie sponge-y thing that comes with your makeup. Instead, invest in an eyeshadow brush. It's worth the $10-$40 and could last your lifetime.

2. We over apply foundation. I've seen women apply tinted moisturizer as a base and then apply foundation over it. Tinted moisturizer acts as a (light and sheer) foundation. You don't need both.

3. We buy foundations and lipsticks at drugstores We all have a "bad shade" drawer -- a bag or drawer of makeup full of wrong shades we bought but couldn't return. Always try before you buy foundations and lipsticks at a department store such as Sephora. You'll save money in the end.

4. We leave the house with dripping wet hair. Yes, curls should air dry. Yes, that can take forever. So do it the night before, or wake up early. Or use a diffuser on your hair dryer or roll your wet hair into a bun. But please do not go out into public with a dripping wet head.

Botox Treatment and Side Effects

BOTOX:
BOTOX is the commercial trade name for Botulinum Toxin Type A, which is derived from the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum.Botox is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment for moderate to severe frown lines and is typically used in people aged 25 to 65.however nowadays botox has been extended to include the mid region of the face, neck and chest to help correct any flaws.
No local anaesthetic or sedation is required for Botox is virtually painless. It isn't a permanent remedy, periodic re-treatments are needed to achieve long lasting results.

Smoother skin is just one of the benefits of BOTOX. The treatment can also be used where excess sweating is a problem. In these cases, BOTOX works to block the nerves to the sweat glands and keeps the skin drier and fresher.

The procedure:
After the injection You should notice an improvement in your frown lines within 3 to 7 days, the effects of which can last up to 4 months. However, results can vary.
Gradually your frown lines will begin to reappear as the effects of Botox wear off.
Botox injections can be given every 4 months.
With repeated injections, thinning of the muscle occurs, which produces longer lasting results.

Possible side effects of Botox:
-Headache
-flu-like symptoms
-temporary eyelid droop -
-nausea
-squint/double vision
-redness at the injection site
-temporary muscle weakness
-occasionally patients become “immune” to Botox after repeated injections
-Cautions/Contra-indications

Botox is not recommended if you:
-Have a skin infection where the Botox will be injected.
-Are allergic to any of the ingredients ( Botulinum toxin, albumin, salt water ).
-Are pregnant or breast feeding.
-Have a neurological disorder ( e.g. Myasthenia Gravis, Bells Palsy ).

Beauty Fact: Lipstick Theory

Did you know that lipstick sales are linked to the state of the economy? But not in the way you might think!!

This is called Lipstick Theory. The first to suggest the relation between beauty products sales and the state of the economy was the former head of Estee
Lauder – Leonard Lauder. If you expect lipstick sales go down during the hard times, you are wrong. On the contrary, they go up! And “the thinking behind the theory is that consumers turn to inexpensive luxury goods such as lipstick to console themselves” when the higher priced pleasures are out of their reach (http://www.cosmeticsdesign.com/news/ng.asp?id=85427-kline-lipstick-theory-economy).

Another surprising statistical fact has been recently revealed by Kline, a consulting & market research company. "Our data shows that for every 1% increase in the unemployment rate, women buy $25 million more lipstick during the year."
Kline analyzed 50 years of lipstick sales and confirmed that the Lipstick Theory is real.
